Refine Your SoTL Plan
With my plan for my SoTL project, for ESL learners to read maps and ask questions for directions, I refined my plan in the Saturday Extender, thanks to student feedback in our classroom discussions about how they liked the role play activity.
In this activity, I learned that our learners prefer to use authentic, real-life maps from their local neighbourhoods instead of imaginary ones from textbooks because our learners can apply what they learn outside the classroom.
