SOTL Sharing Plan
Hello,
My priamary research question is
How can industry tools and role play heighten experiential learning of case management processes in social service work?
- This process has been helpful as a I am trying to make this happen. It has assisted me in planning and advocating for this to be implimented.
- The primary questions will be directed to students and placement hosts in realtion to preparation for the field. Did the use of industry based technology assist in workplace preparation. Feedack positive and negative will be solicited.
- I would look for other similar studies. I would ask students and industry parteners about currenet job readiness in relation to social service databases.
- Create a pre-test in relation to employment rediness.
- Apply the softwarde to a course and provide training and simulation.
- Do a post test to measure results.
- Dissemination can include;Internally at Loyalist, this would work across programs in Human Services (Social Service Worker, Child and Youth Care, Developmental Services Worker, Early Childhood Education, Community Justice Services)To other SSW and Social Work Programs. To other colleges.
I could present at a conference. This includes and internal faculty showcase or other external educational conferences.
To database operators about opportunities for teaching / learning software. Partnerships? Testing?
I selected the attached photo as it show the tecnological tools. Social Service work is about people but having the best tools allows Social Worker to priortize the relationship. Strong tools should not be underestimated.
