stats problem
Solving a statistical problem is like driving a car where you need to go through a set of steps to get to your desination:
- identify the data type (quantitative, qualitative)
- then you need to identify how many populations you have (one or more)
- now lets see what is our descriptive measure (mean, variance, proportion)
- how many tails do we have (one or two)
- its time to form our hypothesisHypothesis: Ho and H1
- finally lets identify our test statistic: (z, t, etc.)
