Therapeutic communication in health care can be compared to driving a car. Similar to the progression from G1, G2 to G ; therapeutic communication strategies learned in theory is followed up by role playing and simulation scenarios and eventually the skillsets develop by the time the student graduate and steps into practice.Just as a drive adjust the steering , brakes and gears,and focusing on blind spots, students learn how to steer conversations with sensitivity and other skills. Effective listening and understanding will lead to a greater confident level to navigate the field just as a fully licensed driver with experience navigate the roads to destination
