3 motivations:

Increased reflection on teaching and learning among colleagues.
- A genuine belief in the importance of students understanding the importance of occupational health and safety. As people who may work in this field, and as workers themselves.
Stronger institutional values on teaching and learning.
- A desire to improve my understanding and growth in the field, so I am continually learning and challenging myself.
Renewed excitement about teaching and learning, and greater self-awareness.
- A desire to contribute to the learning done at the college I work at. I attended the same college after university for a postgraduate certificate and now have the opportunity to teach in one as well. I took such tremendous value from my experience and it led to an incredibly fulfilling career. So I am very motivated to recreate that same value for the students in the classes I am part of.
