Students of ‘Post Graduate Diploma’ in Wireless Information Networking, often make a mistake regarding the submission of lab activities that revolve around the usage of the VMWare. If students are meant to use VMWare’s to run Kali Linux/Unix or parrot and run several different software, and run specific commands on the Fleming College server to perform hand-on lab activities related to reconnaissance, the opening of domains, using information gathering, ethical hacker tools, they are supposed to copy and paste screenshots of all the commands performed step-by-step. Now, it’s an old-traditional trend that students often get confused by the content of authorization and do not submit the screenshots with the entire screen that displays their name. Often, not submitting the reports with the screenshots displaying the names at the top of the VMWare tool, can disqualify the content of authorization. Thus, it’s important to take a screenshot of the entire tool and not just the terminal. Communicating that concept to the students in detail during the lab session can help them clear this misunderstanding, and I do it every time. 🙂
