I must admit that I sometimes assume that the material I have engaged students in the learning process, and the material that is covered, should make the WIIFM obvious. I realize now, after reflecting on this concept, that I could do more to engage the students in a critical thinking process where they can make the connections with regards to how their current learning will impact them when they are out in the field.
