Your Metaphor – Students as Partners
One of the main ideas that I like to think about when teaching is the idea of “Students as Partners”! I like this idea as it allows students to be highly involved in their education, in education research, and in their own learning. Allowing students to be involved in their own education makes them more invested in their education and encourages positive learning experiences. Creating assessments and marking with students input can make sure that students are learning what they want to learn and help them achieve their goals. These guidelines can be set out at the beginning of the course to allow students to set realistic and predictable goals for their courses.
