This empathy map outlines the combined sensory experiences of instructors who are struggling to teach online. The personal and political tensions inherent in shifting from an offline, on-site labour experience to a fragmented digitized precarity are evident. Additionally, the student material realities resonate with the classroom and virtual classroom conditions for instructors and they are challenged to a degree of experiencing both tool fatigue and compassion fatigue.
