I summarized the informal comments and feedback from my students during the Winter 2019 term (see the attached EmpathyMap_MeyerTanuan.docx). It made me better understand why some of my students: (a) gave up in completing their assignments (even with extended due dates without penalty), (b) missed taking their scheduled exams, and (c) decided to discontinue or to drop out of their course. This activity helped me empathize and prepare an action plan for my future courses.
