Based on the TED series entitled “The Way We Work”, there are four steps that will improve the delivery of challenging feedback. These four steps (Micro-yes, Data point, Show impact, and Question) enable the recipient to make sense of the feedback with clarity, and reduce the potential for defensive behaviour to derail the potential for growth and improvement.
