Consider This – Concert Review
The element of my course I chose to find an accompanying image for is a concert review. I used Unsplash.com to find this image. Unsplash is the website I am most familiar with and so the easiest to use for me, and well suited for my topic of music. It has a huge collection of high quality music related images, I have used it in the past for the creation of promotional material for an online open mic.
I also tried Pixabay.com and I would be open to using this search engine in the future. I used the word ‘music’ in my search, and with that, I was able to find a large collection of related images. I wasn’t sure initially exactly what image I was looking for, but the general search yielded several different types of images and this gave me an idea for what I could use to represent a concert review.
The source of the image is Unsplash.com. The creator of the image is Anthony DELANOIX. The license of the image is “Free to use under the Unsplash License”. This means, “Unsplash photos are made to be used freely”… “All photos can be downloaded and used for free”, “Commercial and non-commercial purposes” and “No permission needed (though attribution is appreciated!)”. “Photos cannot be sold without significant modification” and “Compiling photos from Unsplash to replicate a similar competing service” is also not permitted.
This image will support learners’ understanding of the concert review activity by providing a visual example of what they are expected to do. The image depicts a live concert and the concert goers are making a heart symbol with their fingers. I liked this representation of the participants making the heart to symbolize their love for live music and the experience of concert going.
