Consider This – Project Procurement Images
I searched Creative Commons, Wikimedia Commons, Flicker, Unsplash, Pixabay and Wylio as well as Google Images for comparison.
My first search was for Make-or-Buy Analysis, a key concept in project procurement. The results were interesting and very mixed:
- Creative Commons and Flicker returned pictures of food that was made or bought
- Unsplash returned pictures of a variety of couples kissing (removed dashes from search term)
- Wikimedia Commons, Pixabay and Wylio found no images
- Google returned lots of images that would be useful until I added the word free to the search. The image that best fit my needs (https://www.cleverism.com/make-or-buy-decision-step-by-step-guide/) is copyrighted.
My next search was for Negotiation another key concept in project procurement. This search produced lots of images of many different situations with a diversity of participants where negotiating was occurring. Adjusting the search to Negotiation Tactics, I found the same useful image on Creative Commons, Flickr and Wylio. Wikimedia Commons and Pixabay found no images while the others all returned images similar to the Negotiation search. There were lots of images – none as useful as the one I chose.
I found each of the repositories easy to use. In future, I would likely start with Creative Commons.
