The video I used for this activity was “How to Get Your Brain to Focus” – Chris Bailey / TEDxManchester. I have never used the Cornell Notes technique before. I enjoyed it and thought it was very effective for summarizing and organizing information. When I take notes I tend to continue writing with the flow of presentation and I do not usually go back and summarize the information I have just taken in. Cornell Notes helped me to revisit and reinterpret the information again at the end, which was helpful in understanding the presentation as a whole.

I used yellow to highlight the first main point and orange to highlight the second point as well as their sub sections or breakdowns. I used pink to highlight the title and the conclusion, connecting them like question and answer, and I used a green to highlight some facts or statistics that the presenter had mentioned.
