I listened to two other presentations through the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation. They have a special this week with 5 lunch and learns – one each day. For the first two I just listened. On day three I decided to complete the Cornell notes activity while watching. I was able to maintain a much higher level of focus, which helped me to take away significantly greater understanding of the topic. I am a visual/kinesthetic learner and am used to taking notes. However, changing the ink color and providing a synthesis on the left side of the page also contributed to greater retention.
