Main Idea: Become culturally aware without travelling by meeting people.

 

Key Points: Canadian cultural diversity is a significant feature of our nation.

 

TCK – Third Culture Kid, someone who was born and raised in culture different than their parents’ background.

Lula Jama: Somalian, raised in Saudi Arabia, moved to BC, Canada

Difficulty in “where are you from?”

Travelling and experiencing cultures – expensive. Why do we need to travel to experience culture?

Become a global citizen in a time when we’re more connected than we’ve ever been.
