Cultivate Your PLN
I am representing my PLN with the help of the attached image. As an instructional designer, my main professional foci are educational technology and pedagogical theories. I am also in touch with my team, which is connected to the different academic programs and instructors. In terms of educational technology, I am connected to the TEST group through MS Teams. The TEST group is a network of educational technology support staff from different units at the university, providing updates on technical issues as well as professional development on new educational software. I have recently been introduced to Extend at ECampusOntario, which also introduced me to Twitter. I used “educational technology” and “pedagogical theories” as search keywords and found a few interesting groups and individuals. I am completely new to Twitter and am still learning how to use it. In terms of pedagogical theory, my previous experience as an instructor keeps me connected to the different teaching and learning support groups. Now that I am an instructional designer, these connections continue to inspire my work.
