Design Your SoTL Project
With my plan for my SoTL project, for ESL learners to read maps and ask questions for directions, I designed my plan in the Saturday Extender, based on our ESL students’ identifying their learning goal, which was map reading and asking questions, and creating collaborative group activities such as role play, to achieve their learning goal.
I used backwards design to design the activity because our class, we collectively first sought out our learning goal and then we planned out the necessary steps as success criteria to achieve our learning goal.
