Driving a car- Saturday Extender
The car analogy is one that cuts across several courses based on conversations with Faculty. When discussing expert vs novice approaches to assessment I often ask students to break down their thinking. I will use the analogy of reversing out of a driveway and ask students to think about how they would break down that task into discrete steps. It allows us to carry over the discussion into assessment and the unspoken things that we think and do (including biases).
