Empathy Map
I think my passion for the subject sometimes gets in my way of welcoming new folks into the conversation. I really have to watch that I don’t dive off and use so many giant words (the word ontological, for example, helps me pinpoint an idea, but might turn others away for so many reasons). I don’t want to completely exclude precise language, but am reminded to be mindful of explaining things, offering examples, and even including a glossary of terms for students. This was one of the main themes for me, in my empathy map; I absolutely see this challenge echoed in my work with supporting capacity across the local EY system.
