Similar to the “Consider This” activity, I will use the topic of gender. In particular, I will be teaching gender to Mental Wellness and Addictions Worker students. The focus for the search will be connections between wellness and gender.

I tried OASIS and had trouble adding multiple terms, however, I did like the user friendly interface.

I loved the CORE resource. This gave me thousands of results and I could sort by recent articles. Justice Harvard seemed to take a while to load on my browser, I found it hard to find exactly what I was looking for.

OpenLibrary through Ecampus gave the most opportunity for search customization of the sources I checked. I also really liked how it used suggested searches to help show synonyms that may be important (wellness, mental health, wellbeing). I also appreciated the filter selections on the side of the website. The source I found was a textbook on Women, Gender, and Sexuality studies. The only downside to this source is that it’s from 2017. I think this could be an area of opportunity to allow students to find what may need to be updated within the text.
