As an instructional designer, I work with an instructor to develop a course on basic Python programming. For each topic, the instructor created a lecture video and several knowledge check questions. The lecture videos need to be hosted by the video repository run by the U of T library. Unfortunately, the repository cannot host interactive videos. The best solution to fit the video and the knowledge check question into the same page was to embed the video with the H5P knowledge check questions below.

H5P was easy to use and provided many different types of interactivities. In the activity I uploaded, I used a combination of fill-in-the-blank, multiple-choice and true or false questions. I especially appreciate the feature that lets you program instant feedback depending on the answer given. The embedding is seamless, and the H5P format is esthetically pleasing. It is an excellent tool for creating low-stake (in my case, no-stake) activities for a quick self-diagnostic learning component.
