Because I don’t have a traditional syllabus to work from I decided to use the Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education from ACRL (a guiding document for librarians) to create a concept map. This is not a complete representation of all skills and dispositions that are covered in the document, but a great representation of the major concepts. I would use this, not with students (very overwhelming), but instead with faculty. I imagine using this to talk about what I can cover in their courses beyond search mechanics that could benefit students in their research and assignments. There is also opportunity to build this out more to show connections between the 6 main categories where ideas and concepts overlap or are related.
