I personally am not a very visual thinker and work better with text-based outlines when I’m organizing content, which came out somewhat in the way this mindmap looks. Even though it’s going in all directions, it’s essentially hierarchical and could easily be pulled into a series of headings and subheadings. I’d be curious to see how students represent course content differently. Could be a good in-class activity part-way through the term, as a formative assessment.
