My empathy map is based on a past experience and how I tried to turn feedback into a better experience for which I am still collecting data. In my first semester as faculty I was tasked with creating a brand new lecture for students. It was my first big attempt at such a new large piece of content. Afterwards I created a survey to gauge my performance and content. Some things were great like my delivery and slide creation. I did have pain points and content related items to improve. This year I gave my improved talk based on these pains and gains and am excited to review how it went in my current follow up survey. I made large changes and learned a lot over a year so will my improvements have the intended meaning? TBD.
