Skimming reader
From my experience, one of the methods that we often encounter is the “skimming reader”, the student is in such a hurry to do the reading assignments so much that they often resort to reading the titles and highlights and then letting their own thoughts fill in the blank.

Some students explain the concepts and you can see through their explanation the missing pieces, that help identify the root cause.
