I found the image “A Crow Flying With an Egg in its Mouth!” by USFWS Mountain Prairie on Openverse.org (https://openverse.org/image/ea4a0505-1f4a-4dd3-a95d-3a61bde66492?q=%28crow%20OR%20crows%29%20AND%20flying).

The image has a “Credit the Creator” license, CC BY 2.0.

I found this by searching: (crow OR crows) AND flying

I specifically looked for an image that might be easy to find for someone doing a project on birds. I like crows, so I narrowed the search down to that specific type of bird. I was not expecting to find one with an egg in its mouth! I don’t think it would have occurred to me to search for such a thing, but it does show the versatility of not having the search parameters be too specific.

The initial webpage does include additional information, including several keywords (including crow, flight, photography, sky, etc). If you click the link it brings you to Flickr where the photo credit is more specific and indicates it should be credited to Neil Mishler/USFWS; it was taken on April 28 2007 and uploaded March 29 2013. I find this particularly interesting as the Creative Commons search engine actually loses some of this key information, including the author!

It does not have any alternative text that would make it easier for a screen reader to pick up, so it lacks in incorporating elements for diversity and inclusion.
