I listened to the talk on Building (and rebuilding) trust by Frances Frei on Ted Talk, and created a Cornell note. After taking notes in the “Notes” section, I typed out the key ideas, then typed out the summary based on the notes and key ideas I jotted down. I find this exercise very effective in helping me reflect on what I’m learning from the talk, internalize and distill the ideas. To me, it is much more effective than just taking notes without any structural organization.
