We are tour guides
I believe we take the students on a planned journey/route/itinerary that we will cover the parts we think are important and interesting while hoping at the end the experience was enjoyable, they learned something new, and it provides the information they can share with others.
A tour guide can not explore all areas and provide all information for an area they may be well versed in, but they do provide a well thought out journey through different waypoints that highlight the history, information and stories that help create an experience. Like tour guides, we guide our students, hope they don’t get lost, have information that leaves them satiated, hungry to learn more, or share their experience with others and want to explore more areas of interest.
