There are many reasons why a student may choose to take this particular course. The following is a list of some of the reasons, or “what’s in it for me” a student may think of:

  1. The course is required for completion of the program
  2. The skills and information learned in this course will be essential for success on the national exam
  3. Skills/information will be tested and assessed in clinical placement by potential employer
  4. Skills will be assessed prior to being offered a job by the lab
  5. All knowledge learned from this course will be used daily once employed
  6. Information will be useful if a friend or family member is diagnosed with one of the conditions learned/discussed in the course
