This file is a list of reasons why a student in Electronics would want to learn about a subject in their courses.  The statements are derived from some of my past conversations with students and what they mentioned would motivate them in learning so called ‘boring’ or ‘irrelevant’ topics.  Many times students do not see the importance of UNDERSTANDING a topic in order to broaden their problem-solving skillsets which are very important in the electronics industry.  This understanding helps to intuit situations on the job be it in design or troubleshooting.

Many students are so focused on doing the mechanics to get a mark,  they lose sight of the importance of being confident about their knowledge which results from a good understanding.
