Computer Applications WIIFM Questions
For my Business Analytics students, here are some of the WIIFM questions that emerged during our brainstorming session for our Computer Applications for Academic Success course. I have also included a summarize version of the answer I gave for my said students.
Why do we need to go through computer application for academic success, when we have other computer courses in our program that focus more on our field?
- Computer Applications for Academic Success will provide you the foundation in computer in order for you to be able to take on the computer courses that are more specific to your program.
How will this course benefit me or give me an advantage in the job market?
- The course allows you to have a general understanding on computer which will allow you to build upon when you try to learn new skills or specialty in computer. It will give you flexibility in learning.
I already know everything in the syllabus, why do I still need to take this course.
- Computer is more about technical skills which means that it can be forgotten if a person has stopped practicing it after x number of years. The course will allow to refresh your memory and also update you on the changes in the software as technology rapidly advances.
