I often find I prefer online notes to paper notes as it allows me to edit or adapt my note for the future.  I found and adapted a template for Excel for my first stab at it.

In future iterations, I would create a template for OneNote and use it for capturing my information in an online format that allows me to search topics, organize my notes, or even add to my information as I learn more.
