I created an empathy map after completing my first online course. While my course was well organized and everything flowed smoothly during the semester,  after filling out the map I realized I missed the personal connections and organic opportunities for learning from my students.  I wonder now, how I can use technology efficiently to create and enhance these types of encounters during an online class.
