I created a mind map for a course I teach regularly – HEAL8180 Current Issues in Healthcare Administration & Service Management. The exercise was helpful in showing how some concept are inter-related and not always obvious when reading the course outline alone. I added some dotted lines to show some of these connections where some concepts fit into multiple weekly lectures. I am considering sharing it with my teaching team and also embedding it in the course shell as a helpful graphic for visual learners.
