The Ted Talk: ‘8 secrets of success’ is a great summary of essential areas on which to focus for personal and professional success. This short video would be a supportive component to the introduction to a ‘Career Exploration’ course (for example, in the first four weeks of self-exploration).

This was very interesting.  I’ve never thought myself a good note taker and this way of doing it will help me with keeping track of information.

Having taught the Cornell Note taking system, I was able to organize and take the notes easily plus it was in my first language.  I was constantly thinking of the skills that go into doing an activity like this for ex. the listening aspects, note taking abilities with abbreviations and symbols which we ask them more… »

I watched Richard St. Johns Ted Talk on 8 Secrets to Success. I’ve never used Cornell Notes so this was definitely interesting and very useful!
